Obtaining a Blogger account:
If you have an iGoogle account, skip to step 10
If you have an iGoogle account, skip to step 10
- Go to Google
- In the upper rt-hand corner of the screen, click "Sign in"
- At the rt sid of the screen, under the sign-in blocks, click "Create an account now"
- Follow the steps on the Create an account screen (use an existing, accessible email account for verification purposes in step 6).
- On the following screen click on the Sign in on the Google Accounts homepage link
- Check your pre-existing email account to verify your Google account
- Type your password in on the next screen on the rt-side of the page (AFTER verifying the link sent to your email address.)
- On the top rt of the "Google accounts" page, click the "Google home" screen
- On the top rt of the Google page, click iGoogle
- On the top left of your screen, click the "more" dropdown,
- then click even more
- On the second column of the "More Google Products" page, click "Blogger" under "Communicate, show and share.
- Sign in. Your password for Blogger is the same as for Google.
- Type in your display name
- Uncheck the send me notifications box (unless you want them)
- Check the accept terms box and click continue.
- Name your blog (whatever you like: it'll be the title of your blog,like the title of a book)
- Choose your URL (check availability w/the link in the same box)
- Choose any template that suits you (black background w/white text is hard to print if you ever need to: white writing on white paper doesn't work well)
- Continue
- Start blogging: Title your first entry and write away!
- Note, if you already have an account, you can start a new blog just for español by clicking "dashboard" at the upper rt of the page.
- Please email me your Blogger account URL, so I can add it to the class Wiki.
